WAYS TO ORDER

BRIEF TUTORIAL ON HOW TO USE THE SHOPPING CART

First, use the menu on the left of the screen, to goto a product you are interested in. For this example we will be using a Fabrics - Purple product.

STEP ONE - Product display

PPL15    $22.00
Quantity:
Here is a product being displayed, You see the sample image, with the product code and price per metre underneath. Next is the Quantity selection. The default is 1. This indicates 1 metre. Lastly is the Buy button. Once you have typed in the Quantity you want (if it is something other than 1 metre) you then click on the buy button.
On some items there maybe alternative Options. For example:

Colour Selection

Here you would select what colour (or range of colour) you wish, BEFORE you click on the buy button.

STEP TWO - Confirmation display

Once you click on the Buy Button you should get a pop-up alert telling you what product (and at what quantity) was just added to your Shopping Cart.
If you have already added that product to the shopping cart, then the quantity you just purchased will be ADDED to the existing quantity and you will receive a pop-up alert similar to this one.

If you receive the below message when you click on the Buy Button, then you already have 18 products in your shopping cart. You can still change the quantities of any product, but you can not add any new products to your cart. See the How to purchase more than 18 items Section of the Frequently Asked Questions

STEP THREE - Managing your Shopping Cart

Once you have added all the products you wish to Buy. Select the View Your Shopping Cart Menu Option and you will see something similar to this:
Here you can see the list of all products you have selected and you can now adjust the quantity for each product if you wish. Or you can click "Remove" to remove that product from the shopping cart.

STEP FOUR - Submitting your Order

If you are happy with the products you have selected and their quantities, click the Proceed to Checkout button. You will now see a summary of your order and the form you need to fill in before you can submit your order. Any field that is associated with a red name is required. You must fill out each red field else you will not be able to proceed.

If your shipping details are the same as your billing details, then you can leave the shipping details section blank.

IMPORTANT When you click the Submit Order Button, your order will be processed. You will receive a confirmation email of your order, so make sure you use a valid email address in the form.

If you would prefer not to submit your order via Email, then you can use the Printable Order Form. It is basically the same form as the online ordering, except there are no menus or background pictures displayed, so you can print it directly from your Web Browser and then post or fax it to us.

That concludes the basic tutorial

FREQUENTLY ASKED QUESTIONS

Q: How do I order Quantities Other than 1 metre ?

Q: Why did the fabric I order look different than the picture on the web site ?
We have tried to ensure the scans of all products match as accurately as possible the actual pattern and colour, however we can not account for any differences you may notice due to things such as everyone will be using different brightness, contrast and colour saturation settings for their monitor, not to mention the age and quality of the monitor will also contribute to the differences.

Alternatively some fabric packs and kits may contain slight variations in a colour due to availability of certain fabrics when the pack was assembled. For these packs the picture displayed on this website is for demonstration purposes only. Also many packs come in a multitude of colours or colour ranges, not all packs can be shown and not all variations can be displayed.

One last thing to consider is that all the images displayed on this web site have been JPEG compressed to make viewing as fast as possible. This compression can have an impact on patterns which contain a fine detail.

Q: How do I order more than 18 products ?
As the Shopping cart is currently limited to 18 products, the best way to achieve this is to submit your current order, but put a note in the Comments / Special Instructions section of the form, That this order is Page 1 of 2. Once that order has been processed you can then remove the current items from your cart, select the additional products you require, then submit this order and put a note in the Comments / Special Instructions section that this order is Page 2 of 2.

Please feel free to email us if you feel that having a 18 item maximum in the shopping cart is too limiting. We will then endeavour to increase this limit to help streamline your future orders.

Q: I went to View my Shopping Cart and it has NaN ?
If you see a series of NaN listed in the Subtotal, Shipping or Total columns then it means that somehow an invalid quantity has got through. You may also see NaN listed in a quantity for a product. Please make sure that each product has a valid quantity. If there is NO quantity listed, please change it to the quantity you need.
Q: Why do you need Cookies and Javascript ?
Cookies are required to keep track of all the product details that you wish to purchase The cookies used by this web site are only temporary, which means once you close down your web browser the cookie is removed. Javascript is the code so that the shopping cart can function. (such as allow you to adjust the quantity)
Q: Where Did the Menu go. I can't see it anymore ?
As some of the product pages can be quite long, we are using a floating menu. This means as you scroll down the page, the menu should follow you. However this menu requires that your web browser support Javascript for it to work. If you do not see the menu on the left as you read this, then check that you have enabled Javascript in your Web Browser. (For Internet Explorer, Select Tools -> Security -> Custom Level, scroll down until you find the heading Scripting, then make sure they are set to enabled. (this is the default setting normally).

Q: How can I make your web site load faster ?
The easiest way to do this is to change the way that your web browser handles returned visits. If you use Internet Explorer, then click on Tools then Internet Options, under the General tab look for Settings. At the top is "Check for newer versions of stored pages". Select Never. This means that Internet Explorer will use the files in your cache (local on your hdd) instead of checking to see if it needs to download the images again. This means on your return visit any pages you have visited before will be cached and therefore faster to load. If you do need to reload the page you can always just click the Refresh button in the tool bar.

When this site was designed it was felt that having to navigate multiple pages would be more frustrating than having one page. For example  Fabrics - Brown has 31 products on the one page. On Dialup internet it may take a little while for every image to load, but atleast it is only one load. If we were to place say 10 products on each page, that would then required you to navigate through 3 additional pages for that one product?. We felt that the constant need to navigate multiple pages for each product would actually be slower.
